Fractured, synthetic or crystalline vitamins taken into the body must be recombined with their natural protein and trace mineral cofactors before they can function as vitamins.  Otherwise, the crystalline component may be lost through the kidneys.

CATAPLEX is the Standard Process term for the vitamin-mineral-enzyme complex as it occurs in nature in whole foods.

Enzymes being of a protein nature, must contain amino acids and trace minerals.  In fact, every mineral needed by the living cell and in all probability every amino acid may be found in a natural assemblage of vitamin concentrates.  Enzyme activators may include manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, zinc, and vanadium, probably effective only when in the proper organic state.

The enzyme activity is of course destroyed by heat or pasteurization temperatures.  A vitamin that has been subjected to such crude treatment, we feel, is as much of a vitamin afterwards as a watch can remain a watch after it has been smashed with a hammer.  Chemically it is still the same, but not functionally.

Some professional men seem to confuse this chemical integrity with functional and nutritional integrity.

The first principle of nutrition is to get ALL the factors needed in the maintenance of the human body.  This is unlikely to happen when the nutritional integrity is confused with the chemical integrity.  the second principle is to CONSERVE ALL of these nutritional factors.  Most of the essential amino acids are health labile so their function is altered or destroyed by heat.  Therefore, to conserve the amino acids the heat process must be eliminated.

This in itself is a special field of research and requires a special study of the problems involved, special custom made machinery to concentrate and prepare the food source extracts that carry these vital elements which are unavailable otherwise; development of methods for extracting, dehydrating, fractionally separating and sterilizing these extracts.  We are fortunate in that our progress through these various steps is so devised that the entire processing is done at TEMPERATURE BELOW BODY HEAT.

We believe this patented process conserves all the complex biological factors that operate with and within each other.  It gives you a vitamin that has nutritional integrity and clinical potency.  As an example, we cite our multiple vitamin product CYROPLEX (NOW DAYS CALLED CATALYN) which contained performing nutritional essentials long before they were identified by science.  In fact, seventeen trace minerals were in CYROPLEX years before the spectograph was perfected to the point of finding them.  For over thirty years this product has been supplying missing nutritional elements to patients with deficiency conditions.

Many of the specific effects of natural vitamins can be demonstrated by use of the Endocardiograph, however, the synthetic substitutes always fail to show similar results.  This certainly, is most convincing proof of the difference.
